Hello and a very warm welcome
I help women who are exhausted and overwhelmed after holding everything together for too long.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, you may not know where to start and that's okay, but often clients find the first session to be a huge relief. Many have been holding onto buried experiences, thoughts, and feelings for a long time. Taking this time for yourself is a chance to explore, learn, and heal.
When we put ourselves last and care for others ignoring our own needs we may feel isolated, lonely, burnout, and angry.
There may have been significant life events such as bereavement, loss, illness, pregnancy, parenting, menopause, breakdown in relationships, domestic abuse, work issues, redundancy, and may be compounded by having caring responsibilities, living with diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD or autism, or simply having day to day struggles. This list is not exclusive, and there may be a lot more!
If this feels like you we can work together so you can unmask and be your true self. This is your time and your space, you will not be judged and I will not be shocked by what you share, nothing is too big or too small to talk about.
Feelings are feelings they are not good or bad, but your thoughts are not necessarily facts, and I may gently challenge you when necessary, encouraging you to consider a different perspective about yourself, others, or a situation. With your agreement I may introduce strategies that will help and support you.
You can explore the reasons behind your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours, and consider steps you might take towards change. This is your time, and please know that it is okay to take your time to feel comfortable, and be patient with yourself and the process.

What will our sessions look like
I like to think of myself as warm, and relatable and my aim in to create a space that you feel secure, and comfortable in. Counselling is a deep relationship and may be unlike other relationships you may have had – this is your talking space, and I will listen to you at a deep and meaningful level.

Our sessions can either be face to face in Bushey Hertfordshire in my counselling room or held virtually.

My fees are £60.00 per 50 minute session and should be paid by the end of the day that our session takes place.

Having grown up in a home with parental alcoholism and undiagnosed mental illness, I understand the long term effect this has, and I have a particular interest in supporting adult children of parents with poor mental health, and addictions.

I am an integrative therapist who holds a fundamental commitment to person-centred counselling.Integrative Counselling recognises that no single therapeutic approach is universally effective for every client, drawing on techniques from various therapies to support you in understanding and managing your concerns.I know that we are all unique, so what benefits one may not be suitable for another. As an integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to fit the you.

Person-centred counselling is a therapeutic approach that emphasises the individual's unique experiences, emotions, and perspectives.
Originally developed by psychologist Carl Rogers in the 1940s, this model is founded on the belief that individuals possess an inherent capacity for growth, self-healing, and problem-solving. Core principles of person-centred counselling include establishing a safe, non-judgemental environment, demonstrating unconditional positive regard, and consistently applying empathy and understanding. The therapist's responsibility is to provide a supportive and empathetic setting, enabling clients to openly explore their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment or criticism. This approach seeks to empower clients to identify their own solutions and promote personal development and healing.
